Crude Oil Falls on May 31; U.S. Oil Down 1.28% to $87.76/barrel, Brent to $91.89

U.S. crude oil futures closed lower on May 31, falling 1.28% to $87.76 per barrel, with a weekly decline of 9.15% and a May loss of 12.76%. Brent crude dropped 0.87% to $91.89 per barrel, declining 8.31% for the week and 14% for the month. COMEX gold futures rose 0.83% to close at $4,569.90 per ounce, up 0.28% weekly and down 2.03% in May. Silver futures fell 0.43% to $75.58 per ounce, declining 0.81% weekly while gaining 2.1% for May.
