Spot Gold Rises 1.05% on Friday, Down 1.62% for May

On Friday (May 29), spot gold rose 1.05% to $4,542.39 per ounce, extending weekly gains to 0.74% but declining 1.62% for the month. COMEX gold futures gained 0.40% to $4,574.50 per ounce for the week, down 2.27% in May. Spot silver fell 0.32% to $75.36 per ounce, while COMEX copper futures edged up 0.14% to $6.39 per pound.
