Circle Receives First MiCA License for Global Stablecoin Issuer in Europe

According to Circle, the company has secured an electronic money institution (EMI) license in France under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), becoming the first global stablecoin issuer to comply with Europe's framework. The license supports compliant issuance of USDC and EURC across the European Union, providing Circle a regulatory advantage as stablecoin rules tighten across the region.
