China's Real Estate Loans Hit 50.74 Trillion Yuan, Down 4.9% YoY in Q2 2026

According to People's Bank of China, yuan-denominated real estate loans reached 50.74 trillion yuan at the end of the second quarter of 2026, down 4.9% year-over-year, with a decline of 1.23 trillion yuan in the first half of 2026.

Development loans for real estate totaled 12.65 trillion yuan, down 8.5% year-over-year, with a decrease of 540.2 billion yuan in H1. Personal mortgage loans stood at 36.29 trillion yuan, declining 3.8% year-over-year, down 716.3 billion yuan in the first half.
