China's Household Loans Total 82.91 Trillion Yuan at Q2 End, Down 1.3% Year-over-Year

According to the People's Bank of China, household loans totaled 82.91 trillion yuan at the end of Q2 2026, declining 1.3% year-over-year. Operating loans rose 2.8% to 25.79 trillion yuan, while consumer loans excluding mortgages fell 1.7% to 20.83 trillion yuan.
