According to Jin10 data, Brazil's Foreign Ministry recalled Ambassador Julio Bitelli on July 26 in protest of Argentine President Javier Milei's recent remarks in Brazil. Milei, invited to address Brazil's Liberal Party national convention in São Paulo on July 25, strongly criticized President Lula's government and objected to Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes' decision to prevent his visit to imprisoned former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. At the same event, the Liberal Party officially nominated Flavio Bolsonaro, son of former President Bolsonaro, as its presidential candidate.
