According to CCTV News, on July 26, Brazil's President Lula criticized the U.S. government's new tariffs on Brazilian goods in a Washington Post op-ed, calling them a strategic error. The new tariffs, ranging from 12.5% to 37.5%, are unfair and will harm the U.S. economy and the bilateral partnership, Lula said. He warned the measures will disrupt supply chains currently deeply integrated between the two countries in the medium to long term.
