Bitcoin Steadies Near $64K as Federal Reserve Raises Year-End Rate Projection

Bitcoin traded near $64,100 on Thursday morning, down about 1% on the day, after the Federal Reserve held rates at 3.5%–3.75% but raised its year-end rate projection under new Chair Kevin Warsh. The cryptocurrency remained up roughly 2% over the past week despite the pullback, with a market cap near $1.29 trillion. The move cooled a relief rally that had carried Bitcoin to highs of $67,000 following U.S.-Iran de-escalation. Bitcoin is down approximately 17% over the past 30 days and touched a low near $62,500 last week, with the Crypto Fear & Greed Index hitting 12.
