Bitcoin Miners Bitdeer, CleanSpark Report Combined 1,859 BTC Output in May Amid AI Expansion

BTC-5.38%
According to production updates released this month by Bitdeer, BitFuFu, Canaan, and CleanSpark, the four Bitcoin miners produced a combined 1,859 BTC in May 2026, with diverging strategies reflecting their competing AI expansion priorities. Bitdeer led with 921 BTC, while CleanSpark produced 671 BTC, BitFuFu contributed 177 BTC, and Canaan added 90 BTC. Bitdeer's self-mining hash rate held flat at 70.2 EH/s over two months, with growth coming from its newer co-mining business, while the company's treasury dropped to 171 BTC from 1,351 BTC a year earlier despite quintupling monthly output, signaling aggressive bitcoin-to-cash conversion for AI infrastructure investment. CleanSpark sold 404 BTC at spot and another 250 through call exercises, netting just 17 BTC of treasury growth despite mining 671 for May, as it prioritizes capital allocation toward its AI data center push. BitFuFu's self-mining output nearly tripled to 90 BTC from 32 BTC, overtaking cloud mining for the first time this year.
