Bank of Japan to Raise Rates to 1% on Tuesday; Ex-Economist Sees Two Hikes Yearly Despite US-Iran Peace Deal

According to Jin10 and former Bank of Japan chief economist Seisaku Kameda on Monday, a US-Iran peace agreement will not change the central bank's plan to raise rates twice per year. The BoJ is expected to lift its short-term policy rate from 0.75% to 1% on Tuesday, with further hikes likely in October or December.
