Bank of England Governor Bailey Calls for Probe Into Fraudulent Posts Showing Him in Conflict With Reform UK's Farage

According to Jin10, Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey called for assistance today (June 18) in identifying those behind fraudulent posts on X claiming to show him in conflict with Reform UK leader Nigel Farage. The posts, which have circulated widely on the platform in recent weeks, use manipulated images and link to a fake BBC report falsely claiming Farage confronted Bailey on air. Bailey stated the content is "undoubtedly fabricated." The Bank of England has raised concerns with both Reform UK and X. The fraudulent posts also contained fabricated quotes attributing statements to Farage and promoted a fake "AI-driven investment platform," while Farage denied any involvement in creating such material.
