ASIC Warns of Fake Crypto Trading Platform Scams Using AI, Fake Dashboards

According to Australia's corporate regulator ASIC, fraudsters are targeting investors through fake cryptocurrency trading platforms promoted via WhatsApp, Telegram and online investment groups. Scammers impersonate successful traders and financial experts, directing victims to fraudulent websites displaying fabricated trades and fake profit dashboards. Money deposited into these platforms is transferred directly to scammers. ASIC warned that fraudsters increasingly use AI-generated content, cloned branding and fake testimonials to appear legitimate, while requesting additional withdrawal fees and verification costs before disappearing.
