According to Aptos’ Thursday post on X, Aptos Foundation and Aptos Labs committed $50 million across the Layer 1 blockchain’s ecosystem to support institutional-grade markets and autonomous AI-driven systems. The funds will support multiple initiatives including Decibel, an onchain perpetuals exchange that went live on Aptos mainnet in February and has recorded over $1 billion in cumulative volume, and Shelby, a hot storage protocol designed for AI agents to license and exchange datasets across decentralized marketplaces.
