What is Dolomite?

(Source: @Dolomite_io)

Dolomite is a next-generation decentralized money market and trading protocol designed to maximize capital efficiency and flexibility. Unlike traditional DeFi platforms, Dolomite not only supports a wide array of token trades but also integrates leveraged trading, lending, and asset management. At its core is a virtual liquidity mechanism that enables users to deploy capital more effectively. This provides greater opportunities for hedging strategies and long-term investments. DAOs, yield aggregators, market makers, and institutional funds can all use Dolomite to manage assets efficiently and deploy diverse on-chain strategies.

Dual-Layer Architecture

Dolomite’s protocol architecture is built around a Core Layer and a Module Layer, creating a modular ecosystem.

  • Core Layer (Immutable Layer): This serves as a secure, unchangeable foundational framework, ensuring both protocol security and stability, with only minimal parameter adjustments permitted.
  • Module Layer (Mutable Layer): This provides dynamic flexibility, allowing new features to be quickly introduced or upgraded in response to market demands. Users can borrow, transfer, or trade assets without impacting existing functionalities, ensuring compatibility with future upgrades.

This design allows Dolomite to facilitate cross-platform liquidity, impermanent loss hedging, multiple trading models, collateralized lending, and aggregation of external liquidity sources, broadening real-world applications for the protocol.

Dolomite Tokenomics

Dolomite’s governance token, DOLO, is the ecosystem’s foundation and is complemented by veDOLO and oDOLO to form a synergistic economic loop.

1. DOLO

  • Total Supply: 1,000,000,000 tokens
  • Utility: Governance, liquidity provision, and transaction medium
  • Initially launched on Berachain, with cross-chain integration via Chainlink CCIP

2. veDOLO

  • Acquired by locking DOLO; used for governance voting and revenue sharing
  • Issued as an NFT, which is transferable and mergeable
  • Longer lock periods result in greater voting power and higher revenue participation

3. oDOLO

  • Serves as an incentive mechanism; must be paired 1:1 with DOLO to convert into veDOLO
  • Offers variable discounts based on lock period, with a maximum 50% discount for a two-year lock

Token Allocation

DOLO will be distributed as follows to support long-term development and community engagement:

  • Future liquidity mining: 20%
  • Airdrop rewards: 20%
  • Core team: 20.2%
  • Investors: 16.2%
  • Foundation: 9.65%
  • Future partner incentives: 5.75%
  • Boyco incentives: 3%
  • Service providers: 3%
  • Protocol-owned liquidity: 2%

This allocation maintains a balance among ongoing R&D, community activity, and liquidity within the Dolomite ecosystem.

Dolomite Advantages

Dolomite is more than a trading protocol. It is a central component of the DeFi ecosystem. Its core strengths include:

  • Modular design for rapid feature expansion
  • High capital efficiency suited for leveraging and asset management
  • Cross-platform liquidity to maximize asset utility and flexibility
  • Innovative tokenomics that empower governance and active user participation

DOLO_USDT Spot Trading

DOLO/USDT is the trading pair between Dolomite (DOLO) and USDT. As the core asset of the Dolomite ecosystem, the DOLO token provides asset staking and lending capabilities. Its proprietary capital efficiency optimization strategies allow users to optimize their crypto investments.

Summary

Dolomite sets a new benchmark for modularity and capital efficiency in DeFi. Dolomite offers operational solutions to meet the diverse needs of both retail investors and professional institutions. With ongoing protocol enhancements and expanding ecosystem integration, Dolomite is poised to become a pivotal hub for decentralized finance. This will drive the industry toward greater freedom and interoperability.

Aster vs Hyperliquid: Which Perp DEX Will Prevail?

Aster and Hyperliquid are the two representative protocols of the "purpose-built L1 path" within the current decentralized perpetual exchange (Perp DEX) sector. As a pioneer in the field, Hyperliquid has built a deep liquidity moat through its highly mature order book architecture and strong community consensus. Conversely, Aster, as a rising challenger, seeks to leapfrog the competition in high-performance trading through more aggressive multi-chain aggregation logic, private transaction modules, and an underlying execution environment optimized for 2026 market demands.

AI-Native Settlement Layers: How United Stables Is Building the Next Financial Rail

Stablecoins were originally designed as dollar substitutes within exchanges, primarily used for asset pricing and trade settlement. As on-chain financial ecosystems have matured, their role has expanded beyond simple payments to include collateral assets, cross-chain liquidity mediums, and unified settlement units. In particular, as AI systems and automated agents begin to participate directly in economic activity, demand has risen sharply for programmable value units capable of instant settlement. This shift is pushing stablecoins toward the role of foundational financial infrastructure.

Hybrid Collateral Stablecoins: Inside United Stables' Stability and Yield Architecture

In the early stages of the crypto market, traditional stablecoins mainly relied on single-reserve or single-collateral models. Their primary focus was price stability and payment convenience, which allowed them to become foundational tools for on-chain trading and capital flows. As the market has entered a more mature financial phase, however, this structure has begun to reveal limitations, including high concentration risk and the difficulty of balancing liquidity with yield. These constraints have driven the evolution toward multi-layer collateral and portfolio-based designs, such as the dual-layer hybrid collateral architecture proposed by United Stables, which seeks to redefine the underlying logic of stable assets.
