Zimbabwe's SECZ Admits 7 Fintech Projects to Regulatory Sandbox, Four Focused on Tokenization

Zimbabwe's Securities and Exchange Commission (SECZ) has admitted seven fintech projects to its regulatory sandbox, with tokenization accounting for four of the latest cohort. The approved participants are Zimbabwe Entrepreneurship Exchange, Ndarama Standard, Questview Brokers, Crowdaxe Capital, Procode Platforms, Financial Securities Exchange (FINSEC), and Colmin Resources Zimbabwe. The projects cover blockchain-based capital raising, crowdfunding, synthetic trading, and tokenization of assets, securities and infrastructure. According to SECZ's Regulatory Sandbox Guidelines, admission allows controlled testing under regulatory supervision, though successful completion does not guarantee full registration—participants must still meet the regulator's requirements before commercial operations.
