Zimbabwe Approves Second Gold Refinery in Bulawayo to Handle Increased Output

According to Jin10, Zimbabwe approved construction of a second gold refinery on June 17, to be located in Bulawayo and expected to begin operations next year. The new facility will purchase and process gold as domestic output continues to rise. Government officials stated that the country's existing state-owned Fidelity Gold Refinery will be unable to handle the nation's total gold production from next year onward. Zimbabwe targets 50 tons of gold production in 2026, up from a record 46.7 tons last year.
