Zhipu Releases GLM-5.2 Open-Source Model, Within 1%-4% of Claude Opus 4.8 in Performance

According to Guru Club, on June 17, Zhipu released and open-sourced GLM-5.2, a flagship large language model designed for extended task execution. The model achieved performance within 1%-4% of Claude Opus 4.8 on FrontierSWE and Terminal-Bench benchmarks, ranking as the top open-source model globally.

GLM-5.2 is distributed under the MIT License and available for free commercial use. The model has been optimized for inference across multiple Chinese computing platforms including Huawei Ascend, T-Head, Moore Threads, Cambrian, Kunlun, Moelis, Hygon, and Biren. On Code Arena, a global front-end development evaluation system with over one million users, GLM-5.2 ranked first among available models.
