Zelenskyy Signals Critical U.S. Air Defense Supplies Shortage to Trump on May 27

GateNews

According to Jin10, on May 27, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signaled in a letter to U.S. President Donald Trump and Congress that Ukraine faces critical shortages of U.S.-made air defense supplies needed to intercept Russian ballistic missiles. The supplies are essential for Ukraine's Patriot air defense system, currently the country's primary means of effectively downing Russian high-speed missiles.

European allies are providing funding through the Presidential Ukraine Relief Loan for Outlays (PURL) procurement plan to enable weapons deliveries from the U.S. Zelenskyy stated in the letter: "The delivery pace through PURL cannot keep up with the reality of threats we face."
