XRP Ledger Activates fixCleanup3_1_3 Amendment on May 27 to Improve NFT Cleanup and Network Efficiency

The XRP Ledger activated its fixCleanup3_1_3 amendment on May 27, 2026, receiving unanimous validator support. The maintenance-focused upgrade introduces automatic deletion of expired NFT offers, bug fixes for permissioned domain settings, improved vault withdrawal trust-line handling, and better loan accounting accuracy. The amendment reduces unnecessary ledger clutter while strengthening operational stability for developers building on XRPL. Node operators and infrastructure providers must upgrade their systems to rippled version 3.1.3 to remain connected to the network; non-upgraded nodes will become "amendment blocked" and unable to validate transactions. Regular wallet holders do not require any action. The upgrade comes as XRP continues underperforming against Bitcoin on relative strength metrics, trading near $1.33 down 1.2% over 24 hours.
