According to the Korean Exchange on July 19, the KODEX WTI Crude Oil Futures ETF led South Korea's domestic ETF market with a 10.67% weekly gain during July 13-16, as oil prices rose. Other top performers included the TIGER Crude Oil Futures Enhanced ETF at 10.14%, followed by high-dividend and covered-call ETFs such as the PLUS High Dividend Weekly Covered Call ETF (4.92%) and KODEX US Financial Technology Active ETF (3.27%), reflecting investor flows into defensive products amid market volatility. Conversely, semiconductor and Chinese tech-focused ETFs declined sharply, with the TIGER China Semiconductor FACTSET ETF falling 17.35% and domestic semiconductor ETFs dropping double digits, as profit-taking accelerated alongside U.S. semiconductor volatility and local market weakness.
