According to MacRumors, iPhone 18 Pro will feature Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) 2-nanometer A20 Pro chip ahead of Apple's fall event, with the chipset delivering improved computational performance and energy efficiency compared to the prior A19 Pro on 3nm process. The series is reported to include 12 core upgrades spanning design, camera, and connectivity, including a smaller Dynamic Island due to under-display front sensors, new dark cherry red color option replacing deep space orange and deep blue, a variable aperture 48-megapixel main camera, and satellite 5G support via new C2 modem and N2 wireless chips. iPhone 18 Pro Max is also said to feature a thicker body housing a 10-percent larger battery and new LTPO+ screen technology for improved battery life.
