According to Walter Bloomberg, the U.S. Treasury Department today issued a general license authorizing the production, delivery, and sale of Iranian crude oil, petrochemicals, and petroleum products until August 21. The license represents a temporary suspension of related sanctions and does not constitute a complete lifting of restrictions.

Following the license announcement, Bitcoin surpassed $65,000, with gold rising above $4,200 per ounce, silver above $68 per ounce, and Brent crude trading near $78. Market participants view the measure as reflecting progress in U.S.-Iran negotiations and efforts to normalize shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
