According to reports, U.S. stock futures traded higher overnight Thursday as markets looked past renewed military tensions with Iran and rising oil prices, instead focusing on AI hyperscaler earnings. Nasdaq-100 futures gained 0.14%, S&P 500 futures rose 0.12%, and Dow futures were up 0.08% at 9:20 PM EDT.
The overnight rebound came after U.S. stock markets fell sharply on Thursday, with the Nasdaq Composite declining 2.15%, the S&P 500 falling 1.21%, and the Dow dropping 0.97%, amid escalating Middle East conflict and Brent crude oil surging above $100 per barrel for the first time since May. Intel shares jumped more than 4% in after-hours trading following strong Q2 results and upbeat Q3 guidance, while Alphabet and Tesla faced significant declines due to investor concerns over massive capital expenditure plans.
