U.S. Natural Gas Inventories Rise to 2.391 Trillion Cubic Feet, Up 1.4% Year-Over-Year

According to the EIA, U.S. natural gas inventories reached 2.391 trillion cubic feet for the week ending May 15, climbing 101 billion cubic feet from the prior week and 33 billion cubic feet year-over-year, representing a 1.4% annual increase. Inventories were 149 billion cubic feet above the five-year average for the same period, up 6.6% compared to the historical benchmark.
