U.S. Households Incur Average $447 Additional Energy Costs Since Iran Conflict, Moody's Says

According to Moody's Analytics, American households have incurred average additional energy costs of $447.19 since the U.S.-Iran conflict, with cumulative national consumer costs reaching nearly $60 billion as of June 1.

Gasoline prices account for roughly half of the new household spending, with average U.S. gas prices currently at $4.39 per gallon and diesel at $5.52 per gallon, according to Moody's data.
