U.S. Gasoline Prices Drop Below $4 Per Gallon to $3.999 as Iran Tensions Ease

GAS-2.44%
According to the American Automobile Association (AAA), U.S. regular unleaded gasoline prices fell below $4 per gallon on Thursday (June 18) for the first time since March, reaching an average of $3.999. The decline follows a temporary agreement between the United States and Iran aimed at ending the conflict and reopening the Strait of Hormuz. Global crude oil prices have declined from their May peak of over $4.50 per gallon, driven by the easing geopolitical tensions.
