According to Spain's Directorate General for Gambling Regulation (DGOJ), the country has blocked Polymarket and Kalshi websites as it investigates potential violations of gambling laws. The platforms are expected to remain blocked for three to four months during disciplinary proceedings. Spain's Ministry of Social Rights stated that prediction markets are considered gambling in the country when bets are placed on uncertain future outcomes, and operating them requires specific administrative authorization, which neither platform currently holds.
