U.S. Airstrikes Destroy Two Water Storage Facilities in Iran's Hormozgan Province, Cutting Supply to 20,000 Residents

According to British Financial Times reporting, Iran claimed that U.S. airstrikes destroyed two water storage facilities in southern Hormozgan Province overnight on June 10, cutting water supply to approximately 20,000 residents. Hormozgan officials stated that the overnight strikes destroyed two water tanks with a combined storage capacity of 2,500 cubic meters that supply drinking water to Kohstak city and 10 surrounding villages in the Bemani area. The incident followed Iran's downing of a U.S. helicopter in the Strait of Hormuz, prompting overnight U.S. military response against Iranian targets.
