Trump's 2025 Financial Disclosure Reveals 21,000+ Securities Trades Timed With Policy Announcements

According to Trump's 2025 annual financial disclosure released on July 2, the president's investment accounts executed over 21,000 securities trades, with transaction amounts ranging from $600 million to $1.86 billion. The trades were often concentrated around major policy announcements, with about one-quarter of all trades occurring on just 10 trading days.

Notably, Trump's account purchased Intel (INTC) stock worth at least $250,000 on August 18, days before the administration announced a plan to invest in the chipmaker and acquire approximately 10% ownership. Intel's stock has since surged over 370%. Additionally, records show Trump's accounts began accumulating MP Materials (MP), a rare earth mining company, through eight transactions worth between $22,000 and $155,000 by May. The Pentagon subsequently invested 15% in the company as part of a national strategic initiative, after which MP Materials' stock price soared.
