According to the Iranian Supreme Leader's office, Revolutionary Guards commander Ahmad Vahidi appeared at a memorial ceremony beside Khamenei's coffin on July 2 evening, dispelling reports he had been killed. Vahidi was pictured sitting beside the coffin in a small religious gathering held in a mourning hall adjacent to Khamenei's residence in central Tehran. His public appearance marked his first public presence since February 8, according to AP reporting.
