Trump Urges Netanyahu to Halt Expanding Iran Strikes, Warns of Solo Confrontation

According to Israeli Channel 12 reporting on Monday evening, President Trump warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against escalating conflict with Iran into full-scale war. Trump stated in a Sunday call that he told Netanyahu to carefully consider his actions, warning that "very soon you may have to face Iran alone." Trump had urged Netanyahu not to retaliate following Iran's recent missile attacks on Israel, but the two did not reach clear consensus during that call.

Netanyahu subsequently consulted with Israeli defense officials and notified U.S. Secretary of State Rubio of his decision to strike Iran. Trump said Israel informed the U.S. only at a late stage, when strikes were already underway, but claimed he "successfully reduced the scale of this attack." Trump added that five regional countries mediating between the U.S. and Iran had requested him to pressure Netanyahu to halt strikes and advance peace negotiations.
