Trump Postpones Airstrikes on Iran to Allow Negotiations, Channel 11 Reports

According to Israeli public broadcaster Channel 11, citing Israeli officials, U.S. President Donald Trump postponed planned airstrikes on Iran on July 25 to provide additional opportunity for Iran to return to the negotiating table. Israel had prepared for a potential strong U.S. military action against Iran on the night of July 24. Israeli officials told Channel 11 that Trump decided to extend the deadline to give diplomacy another chance. The channel also reported that Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei is directing a hardline stance in negotiations, making it difficult for the U.S. and Iran to reach agreement.
