According to TRON's statement, the network has released GreatVoyage v4.8.2 (Pyrrho) on July 22, featuring enhanced Ethereum ecosystem compatibility and improved smart contract execution performance. The TRON Virtual Machine (TVM) now supports Ethereum's Pectra and Osaka upgrades, with new developer tools including the CLZ command and a precompiled secp256r1 digital signature verification function.
The update includes major infrastructure changes: JSON processing migrated from Fastjson to Jackson, and node monitoring transferred from InfluxDB to Prometheus. The update is mandatory – node operators must upgrade by 11:59 PM Singapore time on August 16, 2026, or face synchronization issues and network incompatibility. Event Plugin v3.0.0 was also released alongside the main upgrade.
