Polygon Ithaca Hard Fork Launches on Mainnet July 29 to Enhance Payment Reliability

According to Polygon Foundation on X, the Ithaca hard fork has been successfully deployed on the Amoy testnet and will go live on Polygon mainnet at block height 50,185,000, expected at 22:00 Beijing time on July 29. The upgrade aims to enhance payment reliability with automatic failover during rare block producer halts to ensure smooth transactions, new protective mechanisms to prevent transactions that could slow or destabilize the network, and improved visibility for node operators. All node operators are advised to upgrade promptly for compatibility and network security.
