Thailand Seizes 315 Bitcoin Mining Devices in Crackdown Across Northeast Provinces

According to BlockBeats, Thailand's Interior Ministry conducted a coordinated enforcement operation on June 21 across five northeastern provinces—Ubon Ratchathani, Yasothon, Amnat Charoen, Loei, and Maha Sarakham—inspecting 14 locations. The action resulted in the seizure of 315 cryptocurrency mining devices. Investigators found that operators had tampered with power meters and illegally connected equipment to the grid. Total losses are estimated at 40.38 million baht (approximately $1.227 million), including 5.38 million baht in electricity violation fines and approximately 35 million baht in unpaid utility charges. Authorities have filed charges against those involved.
