Tennessee Bans Crypto ATMs as of July 1; Georgia Implements Transaction Limits and Reporting Requirements

According to Cointelegraph, Tennessee and Georgia crypto ATM regulations took effect on July 1, with Tennessee implementing a statewide ban and Georgia requiring transaction limits and reporting obligations. Tennessee had approximately 185 crypto ATMs and kiosks in operation before the ban took effect. The regulatory actions follow similar bans adopted by Indiana in March, with Minnesota set to enforce comparable restrictions on August 1. The measures were prompted by reported incidents of senior citizens and other residents being defrauded through crypto ATM transactions.
