Oracle disclosed that it cut 21,000 employees (13% of workforce) over the past 12 months due to internal AI technology deployment. Amazon eliminated 16,000 corporate positions in January, with management citing generative AI's expected impact on traditional roles.

Meta shifted 7,000 employees to AI roles while reducing headcount by 8,000. Block cut 4,000 positions, halving its workforce. Other major cutbacks include Cisco (4,000), Intuit (3,000), Atlassian (1,600), Cloudflare (1,100), and Snap (1,000), alongside restructuring at Coinbase and Salesforce tied to AI transformation strategies.
