Sulfur Shipments Through Hormuz Surge to 640,000 Tons Since June 15 Iran-U.S. Deal

According to Argus data, sulfur shipments through the Strait of Hormuz reached 640,000 tons since Washington and Tehran announced a deal on June 15, compared to just 80,000 tons during the three-and-a-half-month conflict. Urea flows also recovered to 427,000 tons, up from 275,000 tons during the war, with phosphate and ammonia seeing similar increases.

However, over 500 vessels remain stranded in the Persian Gulf. Current shipping volumes remain far below pre-war daily averages of approximately 125 vessels, indicating only partial recovery despite recent improvements.
