Sugar Futures Rise to 10-Month High on Thursday as India Faces Lower Rainfall Concerns

Sugar futures climbed to their highest level in 10 months on Thursday, driven by concerns that lower-than-normal rainfall in India could reduce sugar production. India is the world's second-largest sugar producer after Brazil. London's most active sugar contract gained 1.4% before paring most of the gains, while raw sugar futures in New York rose 1.2% before also giving back most advances.
