Strategy Earmarks $1B for Debt and Dividend Management to Rebuild Investor Confidence, JPMorgan Says

BTC2.22%
According to JPMorgan, on Monday, Strategy earmarked $1 billion for managing debt and dividend payments for its STRC preferred stock to stabilize investor confidence. The Bitcoin-buying company's decision follows its disclosure last week of a $2.5 million Bitcoin sale, which triggered Strategy's worst weekly stock market performance since November 2022. JPMorgan analysts noted that rebuilding Strategy's cash reserves—which recently shrank after the company repurchased discounted debt—is critical to reassuring anxious investors. The firm previously held as much as $2.25 billion in cash reserves before reducing them by 61%. Strategy's STRC preferred stock has surpassed $10 billion in market capitalization, and the company now holds $53.3 billion in Bitcoin assets.
