S&P 500 Falls 1.9% This Week; Nasdaq Declines 4.4% as Tech Stocks Retreat

This week, the S&P 500 fell approximately 1.9%, the Dow Jones rose about 0.4% for a third consecutive week, and the Nasdaq fell roughly 4.4%. On Friday, the Nasdaq 100 index fell 1%, with major declines in storage and semiconductor stocks: Western Digital dropped 13.2%, Seagate fell 12.3%, SanDisk fell 10.3%, and Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, NXP, and Micron each fell at least 6.4%. Meanwhile, Microsoft rose 6.1%, AppLovin rose 7.3%, Datadog surged 9.3%, and Workday climbed 9.6%.
