South Korea's Government Bond Futures Decline Overnight on July 28 as Crude Oil Plunges 8%

According to Yonhap Infomax, South Korea's 3-year government bond futures fell 3 basis points to 102.85 overnight on July 28, while 10-year bond futures dropped 9 basis points to 105.08. International crude oil prices triggered the move, with Brent crude (September contract) plummeting 8.7% to $88.36 per barrel and WTI crude (September contract) declining 7.5% to $82.61 per barrel, marking crude's largest single-day fall since mid-April. The oil collapse supported bond prices, though gains were limited by new bond issuance and corporate bond supply pressures.
