South Korea's Asset Managers Discuss Raising Minimum Deposit for Leveraged Stock ETFs to $6,714 on July 15

According to South Korea's Financial Investment Association, on July 15, 10 major asset managers' CEOs discussed investor protection measures for leveraged individual stock ETFs, including raising the minimum deposit requirement from 10 million won ($6,714) and staggering rebalancing trade timing. The association stated that participants agreed to increase the minimum deposit threshold, and cited data from the Korea Capital Market Research Institute estimating daily rebalancing stock trading volume at 700 billion to 2.1 trillion won since the leveraged ETF launch.
