South Korea's Financial Investment Association Raises Minimum Deposit Requirements for Leveraged ETFs

South Korea's Financial Investment Association (KOFIA) announced on July 14 that it will raise minimum deposit requirements for leveraged ETF trading. Currently, investors must maintain a minimum deposit of 5 million to 10 million Korean won or more in their brokerage accounts depending on investment profile and risk rating. The decision was made during an emergency meeting with representatives from major securities firms ahead of a presidential finance committee briefing.
