According to Yonhap News, South Korean police conducted searches on June 11 of the Central Election Commission headquarters and seven related facilities to investigate ballot shortages during the June 3 local elections. Police deployed over 100 personnel and suspect the agencies committed major negligence in ballot printing and distribution, potentially violating election laws and duty-related regulations. The commission's chair, Roh Tae-yak, who resigned over the incident, was named as a suspect.
