South Korean Government Bond Futures Rise Overnight Despite U.S. Treasury Weakness on July 23

According to Yonhap Infomax, South Korean 3-year and 10-year government bond futures closed slightly higher overnight on July 23 despite weakness in U.S. Treasuries. The 3-year contract rose 2 ticks to 102.72, while the 10-year contract gained 1 tick to 104.57. Trading volumes increased, with 3-year futures at 96 contracts (up from 17 the prior session) and 10-year futures at 87 contracts (up from 63).

U.S. Treasury yields rose across the curve, with the 10-year yield up 2.80 basis points and the 30-year yield up 1.40 basis points compared to the previous New York market close.
