According to South Korea's Financial Services Commission, the regulator announced on July 23 that it is coordinating the release of phase-2 guidelines for corporate virtual asset trading with pending legislation, including the Digital Asset Basic Law. The commission signaled support for allowing over-the-counter (OTC) trades through independent intermediaries alongside exchange-based transactions. Kim Sung-jin, head of the FSC's virtual asset division, stated that institutional investors may prefer third-party brokers rather than direct exchange participation, mirroring equity market practices.
