According to Korea Economic TV, South Korea's Financial Services Commission Chair Lee Euk-won said on July 28 that the financial authorities are considering imposing an investment cap limit—up to 20%—on leveraged single-stock exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to control market volatility. Lee held a meeting with major securities firms and asset management companies at the Financial Investment Association in Seoul, emphasizing that the authorities aim to maintain macroprudential stability through comprehensive leverage management across the capital market.
