Solflare Card Suspends Services as Card Partner Kulipa Shuts Down, New Version Coming in Weeks

According to Solflare co-founder Vidor, Solflare Card suspended services on July 29 after card partner Kulipa ceased operations due to solvency issues. User funds remain secure as the service operates on end-to-end self-custody, with card transactions drawn directly from user wallets, requiring no deposits or custody by the card issuer.

Solflare is developing a new version of Solflare Card, expected to launch within weeks. The updated service will integrate Apple Pay and Google Pay, feature higher spending limits and cashback rewards, while maintaining self-custody functionality.
