SK Hynix Plunges 50% From June High, Samsung Electronics Down 41% As Memory Sector Enters Bear Market

According to BlockBeats and Bitget market data, on July 28, major South Korean memory stock companies faced significant declines from June peaks. SK Hynix tumbled nearly 50%, falling from 2,987,000 Korean won (approximately $2,043) to 1,550,000 Korean won (approximately $1,060). Samsung Electronics dropped about 41%, declining from 374,500 Korean won (approximately $256) to 220,000 Korean won (approximately $150). The KOSPI index (South Korea's benchmark equity index) fell approximately 36%, sliding from a June high of 9,385.59 points to 6,023 points.

Meanwhile, Japanese memory chip manufacturer Kioxia saw its stock plunge over 60%, dropping from a high of 112,700 yen to 44,550 yen, according to Bit.com market data.
